Es besticht durch seine floralen und aufwendig getriebenen massiven handgefertigten Silberschmiede-Arbeiten der herzförmigen Schließbeschläge und der breiten geschwungenen Schließe.Die Buchdeckel aus Holz sind mit feinstem Leder sorgfältig überzogen, über den Buchrücken laufen 5 Bünde, die den Buchblock mit den Buchdeckeln verbinden.Der Buchblock ist mit dreiseitigem Goldschnitt in exellentem Zustand versehen, selten hier die 5 Reihen gepunzter Blüten/Kreuze. Eine unter dem Blattgold aufgetragene Lasurschicht verleiht dem Goldschnitt besonderes Feuer.Im Inneren überrascht eine aufwendige Bespannung aus rotem Seiden-Wollstoff mit prächtig gesticktem Blüten- und Blätterwerk. I have here for sale a copy of THE BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER, and Administration of the Sacraments, and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, according to the Use of the Church of England: together with The Psalter or Psalms of David pointed as they are to be sung or said in Churches.  It was published in 1791 at the Clarendon Press, Oxford, by W Jackson and A Hamilton, Printers to the University. Sold by W Dawson at The Bible Warehouse, Paternoster Row in London. Price unbound 5s 6d. The first part is the Book of Common Prayer, with Finis, followed by The Whole Book of Psalms published in 1801 by Dawson , Bentley and Cooke at Oxford. Full black leather with gilt border.  8 gilt bands and lettering to the spine. The name Earl Talbot written in gilt on the front board.  The boards and spine covering are a little loose and some wear to edges.  Some rubbing to boards.  Pages clean and firm.  Marbled endpapers.  25 x 15.5 cm. Common Prayer book bound with the Whole Book of Common Prayer dated 1774, printed for T. Wright at Oxford University Press. Disbound with no boards and spine lacking, binding all attached but shaky, some pages loose but attached. Lacking first leaf with no title page, first page being the Gokden Number table start. Towards rear is the bound-in Psalms, so presumably all dated around 1770-74. 13.5cmx8.5cm. Pages lightly toned as expected, corners rubbed with some creases throughout, a few small tears but certainly able to be rebound, indeed requiring it.
